In March, The Guild held the latest instalment in its series of regular seminars with the emphasis on this occasion being the impending enforcement of GDPR, an update from the Chancellor’s Spring Statement and a guest lecture from David Kirk on tax investigations and HMRC.
As usual, the event was well received with over 100 people attending, comprising a mixture of agencies, contractors, and accountants. The current hot topic of GDPR led to a lively discussion and Chris Methley (Guild CFO) announced that The Guild will also be hosting specialist workshops to look at the topic in more depth in the very near future. (If you are interested in hearing more about The Guild GDPR workshops, please email us – events@trusttheguild.com).
David Kirk, accountant and specialist tax consultant, was also very warmly welcomed with a highly informative analysis of tax investigation and some of the latest thinking and action at HMRC.Commenting on the successes of the event, David Reynolds, Guild Marketing Director said, “We were pleased once again to bring our clients together to discuss the latest topics that interest our industry. Now in our 21st year, The Guild continues to place an emphasis on compliance and putting our clients first. We look forward to providing more events like this in the future.”
